Use PicCollage to Retell - 28.10.15
'Gold Rush' reading group read the story "The Lion and The Mouse."
We worked in pairs to use the iPad app 'PicCollage' to help us retell the story.
Our success criteria was:
1) correctly order the photos to retell the story
2) use arrows to show the order of the photos
3) write a caption for each part of the story
4) check our retelling is correct
5) check our labels make sense
We can then self-assess our own work and give ourselves a score out of 5
to show how well we think we completed this task.
Using the 'ChatterPix' app - 13.10.15
We also learnt how to use the iPad app called "ChatterPix" to add a mouth to a photo of our chosen character and record ourselves explaining the reason this person may be guilty of pushing Humpty Dumpty off the wall.
Using the 'ShowMe' app at Reading time - 12.10.15
Lime Swirl read this book and could choose which follow up activity they wanted to do today.
They could either:
1) retell the story in their own words OR 2) describe what to do in an earthquake to be safe.
The children used the 'ShowMe' app to do this.
